Tree of Life Terracotta Bread Warmer & Basket

A handcrafted warmer for bread at the table

Bring warm bread to the table with this Tree of Life set, featuring a terracotta warming stone nestled in a naturally woven seagrass and jute basket. Handmade by artisan partners in Bangladesh and designed and curated by KORISSA in New York. Because each piece is handmade, slight variations in color, design, and size are to be expected.

• Terracotta warmer: approximately 9 in round × 0.5 in tall
• Basket: approximately 11 in round × 3.25 in tall
• Materials: terracotta, seagrass, and jute

How to use

1. Before first use, rinse the terracotta stone with water and dry it thoroughly.
2. Heat the stone only: in a preheated 350°F oven for 5–10 minutes, or in the microwave on high for 2–4 minutes.
3. Using oven mitts or tongs, carefully place the hot stone in the basket. Never put the basket in the oven.
4. Lay a cloth napkin or tea towel over the stone, then place bread on top. Cover the bread and warmer with another cloth to help retain heat for up to 40 minutes.

Care and safety

Rinse the stone after use and dry it well. Hand wash only; it is not dishwasher safe. Keep the basket out of the oven and handle the hot stone carefully to avoid burns. Keep the basket out of direct sunlight to help prevent fading.
